Aloha! We’re Ono Poké, a healthy quick-bite restaurant, serving traditional Hawaiian dishes of rice and raw fish, with our own personal twist.
The dawn of the Poke
“Poh-key” is the Hawaiian word for “cutting” or “slicing”. It’s also how the islanders named their traditional albacore tuna salad. Today’s poke we now all know and love, was inspired by Asian and Californian cuisine, creating a distinctly fresh dish of marinated raw fish and rice.
Ono-Poké, the tale of two continents
Margot Amzallag discovered her passion for Hawaiian food during her years in Los Angeles. Originally from France, she decides to bring the wave poke flavors to the banks of Paris. In 2016 she opened the first poke bar in France at 167 rue Saint-Jacques, at the heart of the French capital. Naming it Ono, meaning “delicious” in Hawaiian.
